Gilman Scholarship Application Period Open for 2026
Applications are now open for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. The Gilman Program provides merit-based scholarships of up to $5,000 to talented American undergraduate students with high financial need to study or intern abroad. These experiences help students build international knowledge, professional networks, and foreign language skills.
• Dependents of active or activated U.S. military personnel receiving Title IV financial aid are invited to apply for dedicated Gilman funding.
• Students studying languages important to national security or pursuing STEM careers can apply for additional funding.
• Community and technical college students are encouraged to apply.
The application deadline is Thursday, October 1 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Over the past seven years, via our partnership with the Institute of International Education, the PDDG Team has served as the marketing agency of record for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, as well as supported marketing communications and outreach efforts of EducationUSA, Boren Awards, Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, and Whitaker International Program.
