July 1 marks the fourth anniversary of the opening of PDDG’s first international office location. Based in Leeds, England, the PDDG UK Office serves our existing and prospective clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

This year marks six years of partnership with EASTBAYWorks. From our very first project in 2020, developing a new website presence, to our ongoing website development and support work, we have had the pleasure of working closely with the EASTBAYWorks team these past several years.

The City of Mesa, Arizona, has earned the #10 spot on WalletHub's list of "Best-Run Cities" for 2026. WalletHub, an award-winning personal finance company, examined 148 of the largest U.S. cities by comparing the quality of public services delivered to residents against each individual city's overall budget. Congratulations to our friends in Mesa!

In June, the Monterey Bay region welcomed Joshua Wetzel, West Coast Regional Representative for the U.S. Department of Labor, for a firsthand look at the innovative workforce development efforts taking place across Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. As key workforce partners in the region, our clients Monterey County Works and Workforce Santa Cruz County continue to support initiatives that connect job seekers with training, education, and career opportunities aligned with the needs of emerging industries.

Congratulations to Danielle Casey for being recognized as one of the Las Vegas Women Leaders Association's Top 50 Women Leaders of 2026. Danielle is the President and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), a unified and committed collective of investors, partners, and community leaders who work every day to strengthen Southern Nevada's economy and create opportunities for the region. Danielle is also a longtime friend and client partner of PDDG. Congrats again to Danielle and all the exceptional women recognized this year.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a historic milestone that invites us to reflect on our shared past, honor the contributions of generations of Americans, and look ahead to the future we aspire to build for the next generation and those that follow.

The Greater Sacramento region has formally launched The Sacramento Pitch, a campaign to secure a Major League Baseball expansion franchise backed by a fully entitled stadium site, substantial public-private investment, and access to the nation’s largest underserved major league sports market. The initiative positions Sacramento as a leading West Coast expansion candidate with site control, development readiness, and financial momentum already in place.

Staff at the PDDG UK Office have been melting into the pavement the past few days as the UK experienced record-breaking temperatures across the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The UK has set a new record for the hottest May day for the second consecutive day, with temperatures in parts of London climbing above 35C/95F on Tuesday. Before these latest record-breaking highs, May's previous warmest day in the UK was 32.8C/91F in 1922 and 1944.

Driven by sustained passenger growth, Ontario International Airport is moving forward with a major expansion program that includes the modernization of Terminals 2 and 4 and the construction of a new three-story, 650,000-square-foot Terminal 3 between the existing facilities. The PDDG Inland Empire Regional Office team frequents the Ontario International Airport for it's convenient proximity to our office and ease of access to destinations across California and the U.S. We look forward to this upcoming expansion!

American Airlines has introduced a new direct route between its Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) hub and Athens (ATH), Greece, as part of the airline's "centennial summer," expected to bring record-breaking travel moving 75 million customers across 750,000 flights. American Airlines is scheduled to operate 60 flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Greece during the month of June, offering more than 18,000 seats. With one of PDDG's regional offices located in Texas, this new DFW-ATH route adds greater access for the PDDG Team to serve our Greek and European clients.

Two high school students from a small town outside Thessaloniki captured first place at Europe’s largest financial literacy competition, outperforming teams from 30 countries during the European Money Quiz finals held in Brussels earlier this week. The Greek students secured the win with a perfect score, correctly answering all 30 financial literacy questions in the shortest amount of time. Latvia finished in second place, followed by Italy in third. Congratulations!

National Geographic has named Crete the "World’s Top Gastronomy Destination" for 2026, noting the island’s long-standing connection to the Mediterranean Diet and its highly desirable food traditions. Crete was recognized for its recent designation as the European Region of Gastronomy, noting the island’s influential role in shaping the Mediterranean Diet. The publication also celebrated Crete’s rich culinary heritage, where food is deeply connected to local traditions, warm hospitality, and overall wellbeing.
