UK’s Hottest May Day Continues to Break Records

Staff at the PDDG UK Office have been melting into the pavement the past few days as the UK experienced record-breaking temperatures across the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The UK has set a new record for the hottest May day for the second consecutive day, with temperatures in parts of London climbing above 35C/95F on Tuesday. Before these latest record-breaking highs, May's previous warmest day in the UK was 32.8C/91F in 1922 and 1944.

Ontario Airport Announces New Terminal and Other Facilities

Driven by sustained passenger growth, Ontario International Airport is moving forward with a major expansion program that includes the modernization of Terminals 2 and 4 and the construction of a new three-story, 650,000-square-foot Terminal 3 between the existing facilities. American Airlines Launches New Non-Stop DFW-ATH Route

American Airlines has introduced a new direct route between its Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) hub and Athens (ATH), Greece, as part of the airline's "centennial summer," expected to bring record-breaking travel moving 75 million customers across 750,000 flights. American Airlines is scheduled to operate 60 flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Greece during the month of June, offering more than 18,000 seats. With one of PDDG's regional offices located in Texas, this new DFW-ATH route adds greater access for the PDDG Team to serve our Greek and European clients.

Greek High School Students Win Europe’s Biggest Money Quiz

Two high school students from a small town outside Thessaloniki captured first place at Europe’s largest financial literacy competition, outperforming teams from 30 countries during the European Money Quiz finals held in Brussels earlier this week. The Greek students secured the win with a perfect score, correctly answering all 30 financial literacy questions in the shortest amount of time. Latvia finished in second place, followed by Italy in third. Congratulations!
