The Nevada Economic Developers Association (NEDA) has launched their brand-new, first-ever website. NEDA is the statewide professional association for Nevada's economic development practitioners – providing the training, certification, and continuing education that prepares the people supporting Nevada's long-term growth. Our creative team developed NEDA's new brand identity and designed and deployed the new NEDA website, and we look forward to supporting NEDA's ongoing marketing and communications needs as the organization grows and evolves.

California is investing $9.75 million to expand educational certificate and apprenticeship programs that will strengthen the state's workforce and prepare workers for high-demand careers. Among the recipient organizations is the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County (WDBCCC), a longtime client partner of PDDG. WDBCCC received $1M to expand career training and strengthen access to high-quality jobs in Contra Costa and Alameda counties.

July 1 marks the fourth anniversary of the opening of PDDG’s first international office location. Based in Leeds, England, the PDDG UK Office serves our existing and prospective clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Congratulations to David Hunn, founding President and Chief Executive Officer of The SkillSource Group, Inc., and Executive Director of Virginia Career Works – Northern Region, on his retirement as of June 30, 2026. We have had the immense pleasure of working with David since 2012 in support of outreach and communications initiatives for both The SkillSource Group and Virginia Career Works – Northern Region.

For the fourth year in a row, our team has been enlisted to develop and implement the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) annual Excellence in Partnering Awards Ceremony. This year also marks the 26th anniversary of the awards program. This event recognizes the top transportation construction projects from across the state that exemplify partnering, teamwork, and honest and open communication. Caltrans has been a valued PDDG client partner for more than 46 years.

This year marks six years of partnership with EASTBAYWorks. From our very first project in 2020, developing a new website presence, to our ongoing website development and support work, we have had the pleasure of working closely with the EASTBAYWorks team these past several years.

The City of Mesa, Arizona, has earned the #10 spot on WalletHub's list of "Best-Run Cities" for 2026. WalletHub, an award-winning personal finance company, examined 148 of the largest U.S. cities by comparing the quality of public services delivered to residents against each individual city's overall budget. Congratulations to our friends in Mesa!

In June, the Monterey Bay region welcomed Joshua Wetzel, West Coast Regional Representative for the U.S. Department of Labor, for a firsthand look at the innovative workforce development efforts taking place across Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. As key workforce partners in the region, our clients Monterey County Works and Workforce Santa Cruz County continue to support initiatives that connect job seekers with training, education, and career opportunities aligned with the needs of emerging industries.

Congratulations to Danielle Casey for being recognized as one of the Las Vegas Women Leaders Association's Top 50 Women Leaders of 2026. Danielle is the President and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), a unified and committed collective of investors, partners, and community leaders who work every day to strengthen Southern Nevada's economy and create opportunities for the region. Danielle is also a longtime friend and client partner of PDDG. Congrats again to Danielle and all the exceptional women recognized this year.
