Clint Briske Named Utah Business 2026 Leader of the Year

Clint Briske, longtime friend of PDDG and husband to Mel Briske, PDDG's Vice President of Marketing and Media Services, has been named a 2026 Leader of the Year as part of the latest Utah Business cohort. Clint is the Site Director for the Nature's Bakery manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. This new $240M facility opened in July 2025 and is expected to produce more than 1 billion granola bars in its first year. Congratulations, Clint, on this well-deserved recognition!

Bulgaria Joins Euro Zone and Adopts Currency

On 1 January 2026, Bulgaria will adopt the euro as its national currency, marking a significant milestone for the country, for the evolution of the euro, and for the European Union as a whole. The European Commission has fully supported Bulgaria throughout the process of joining the euro area. With Bulgaria’s accession, 21 EU Member States and more than 357 million EU citizens will share the EU’s common currency.

Joby to Double Manufacturing Capacity by 2027

Joby Aviation, Inc., with headquarters in Santa Cruz, California, is in the process of developing electric air taxis for commercial passenger service, and has recently announced their plans to double their manufacturing capacity to reach the production goal of four aircraft per month by 2027. Apache Junction Ranks as #1 Fastest Growing AZ City for 2025

Based on the latest estimates from the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity, Apache Junction ranked #1 fastest growing city in Arizona. When looking at percentage population growth from 2024-2025, Apache Junction ranks #1 in the state at 7.9%. Some of the other top performers in Arizona included Queen Creek (7.7%), Maricopa (6.7%), Marana (6.3%), Coolidge (5.7%), Buckeye (5.3%), Casa Grande (5.3%), San Luis (5.1%), Colorado City (5.0%), Goodyear (5.0%), Surprise (4.2%), and Avondale (4.0%).

Greece Ranks 8th Globally as Top Destination for Millionaires

According to the 2025 Global Citizens Report prepared by Henley & Partners, by attracting more than 1,200 high-net-worth individuals per year, Greece has been ranked #8 worldwide as one of the top destinations for millionaires. The study found more than €7.7 billion in liquid assets entered the country as millionaires moved to Greece and invested in startups, tourism, and real estate. Between 2014 and 2024, the number of millionaires moving to Greece increased by 24%.

Major Data Center Project Approved Near Maricopa

Pinal County’s Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a land-use amendment that clears the way for a new data center just south of Maricopa. Tempe-based W Holdings intends to develop a 500-acre Energy Generation and Technology Campus northeast of White-and-Parker and Teel roads, bordering the southern edge of the Ak-Chin Indian Community. PDDG has partnered with the City of Maricopa for more than two decades on a diverse range of projects including the city's branding, which is widely recognized nearly 20 years later.
