InvestTheQC Launches New Website
Since 2018, the Town of Queen Creek, Arizona has been a valued PDDG client partner. To coincide with the start of 2026, we recently completed a comprehensive refresh of the InvestTheQC website, Queen Creek’s economic development portal for all things business attraction and location. The website refresh includes a full visual update, reorganized menu and navigational structure, added content and insights into the town’s unique market positioning, and an overall improved user experience.

Transport for London Hosts 2026 Apprenticeship Fair
Transport for London (TfL), the integrated transport authority managing Greater London's extensive transportation network, is hosting their annual Apprenticeship Fair on 9 February 2026 at Kensington Town Hall. TfL and 20+ employers/partners will be showcasing apprenticeship opportunities across transportation, engineering, construction, and entry-level and pre-employment pathways. This in-person event does require advance registration.

The latest California State University Economic Impact Report showcases how Sacramento State, California's capital university, contributes significantly to the Sacramento region's economic vitality. Highlights include $1.9 billion in industry activity, $153.2 million in state and local tax revenue, and 15,400 jobs contributing $737 million in wages earned.

Site Selection Magazine, a leading economic development publication, has released their 2026 workforce development rankings and North Carolina, Utah, Illinois, Michigan, and California all made the top five. We currently support the outreach and communications needs of workforce organizations in both Illinois and California, and North Carolina is home to one of our regional offices.

Clint Briske Named Utah Business 2026 Leader of the Year
Clint Briske, longtime friend of PDDG and husband to Mel Briske, PDDG's Vice President of Marketing and Media Services, has been named a 2026 Leader of the Year as part of the latest Utah Business cohort. Clint is the Site Director for the Nature's Bakery manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. This new $240M facility opened in July 2025 and is expected to produce more than 1 billion granola bars in its first year. Congratulations, Clint, on this well-deserved recognition!

Bulgaria Joins Euro Zone and Adopts Currency
On 1 January 2026, Bulgaria will adopt the euro as its national currency, marking a significant milestone for the country, for the evolution of the euro, and for the European Union as a whole. The European Commission has fully supported Bulgaria throughout the process of joining the euro area. With Bulgaria’s accession, 21 EU Member States and more than 357 million EU citizens will share the EU’s common currency.

Joby to Double Manufacturing Capacity by 2027
Joby Aviation, Inc., with headquarters in Santa Cruz, California, is in the process of developing electric air taxis for commercial passenger service, and has recently announced their plans to double their manufacturing capacity to reach the production goal of four aircraft per month by 2027. Via our ongoing marketing communications work for both Workforce Santa Cruz County and Monterey County Works, we have supported Joby's recruiting efforts as they build their local workforce.

Apache Junction Ranks as #1 Fastest Growing AZ City for 2025
Based on the latest estimates from the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity, Apache Junction ranked #1 fastest growing city in Arizona. When looking at percentage population growth from 2024-2025, Apache Junction ranks #1 in the state at 7.9%. Some of the other top performers in Arizona included Queen Creek (7.7%), Maricopa (6.7%), Marana (6.3%), Coolidge (5.7%), Buckeye (5.3%), Casa Grande (5.3%), San Luis (5.1%), Colorado City (5.0%), Goodyear (5.0%), Surprise (4.2%), and Avondale (4.0%).

Nashville Design Week Issues RFP for Brand Partner
Nashville Design Week is seeking a Brand Partner to create a bold, easily identifiable, and memorable visual identity to represent the mission and unique concept for 2026. The new identity must translate seamlessly from print to digital to environmental. It is expected that the chosen partner will provide some level of in-kind or pro bono services. The total budget for this project is $12,000. The submission deadline is December 22, 2025.
