David Hunn Retires After 40+ Years of Public Service
Congratulations to David Hunn, founding President and Chief Executive Officer of The SkillSource Group, Inc., and Executive Director of Virginia Career Works – Northern Region, on his retirement as of June 30, 2026. We have had the immense pleasure of working with David since 2012 in support of outreach and communications initiatives for both The SkillSource Group and Virginia Career Works – Northern Region.
David has dedicated more than 40 years to public service. During his tenure, he built a nationally acclaimed, employer-driven workforce system serving 2M+ residents and thousands of businesses across Northern Virginia. He also directly guided the implementation of valuable services, education, employment assistance, and training to 45,000+ prospective employees while aligning with and navigating the evolving demands of high-growth industries and regional employers.
We commend David on his incredible career and his well-deserved retirement. Thank you for the confidence you placed in our team for the past 14+ years!
