SMF Experiences Busiest Month in Nearly 60 Years
Sacramento International Airport (SMF), the primary airport for our agency’s HQ team, reported its busiest month in the airport’s history, with 1,296,818 passengers traveling through SMF during the month of June. This number surpasses any single month since the airport opened in October 1967.
The record-breaking passenger county tops off 19 consecutive months of year-over-year growth at SMF, which served nearly 14M passengers in fiscal year 2025, another record.
Via 11 domestic and international carriers, SMF currently offers more than 202 peak day flights connecting travelers to 52 non-stop destinations.
